How to Help
Oasis is an exciting place – not only because there are great things happening – but because the future of Oasis will be determined by the willingness of people to get involved. Without the help of people just like you, we won’t be able to do anything – so please join us!

If you are interested in volunteering, we are currently looking for volunteers to help babysit the children during Single Mom’s Support Group and during all of our camps.  Requires an open minded view of the world, an ability to have fun while keeping children safe, and a criminal background screening. 

We are interested in volunteers who are interested in becoming trained to facilitate a Girls Circle. These volunteers need to have experience working with children between the ages of 9-15, some group facilitation experience and requires specialized training that we will provide. Girls Circle volunteers must be able to commit to partnering with one of our trained team members for the entirety of a Circle, which is between 9-12 weeks, one morning or afternoon a week.  We are particularly interested in college students pulled towards working with adolescents.

We need volunteers to help with the Trailblazers in the Schools program (to make presentations in classrooms about women from local history), to help with special events.

Donations
We are diligently working to find sustaining funding for Oasis – we have received support from the Knight Foundation, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the Community Human Service Partnership and are actively seeking other grant opportunities. In addition we have implemented special events, opened programs for fees and are exploring creative social enterprise strategies. But the truth is that private donations are the most important part of our funding.
